A Summer Of Change!

It has been an extremely busy summer for all of the agents and staff at Novahomes! As well as celebrating their 5th anniversary on 1st September, the Plymouth Regional Team are delighted to announce that, following several months of intensive planning, they have now relocated their Regional Headquarters into much larger and prestigious premises at Stoke Damerel Business Centre, Plymouth. With nearly 1,400 sq/ft over two floors, the new offices offer treble the space they had prior to the move, as well as on site visitor's spaces and free car parking next door, and have sparked a much needed recruitment drive. Already, four new permanent members of staff and three more apprentices have increased the number of representatives and staff offering their personal sales and lettings services across the region to twenty-two, with several more, hopefully, to come.

Having also just completed the acquisition of the national parent company, newly-appointed Managing Director of the Novahomes Group and Plymouth Area Founder, Jim Rainbow, takes time to reflect on how far the organisation has come since he started the local operation from his home office in 2010. 'Wow! What a rollercoaster it has been and how time has flown by! For anyone looking in at our now extensive operation from the outside, it is hard to imagine that, just a short time ago, I was working on my own from, what was originally my garage! I am, of course, thrilled that things have grown so quickly and that the Novahomes concept, to offer a good service for a reasonable fee, has been, and continues to be, gratefully received by our ever increasing client base.'

Jim, however, also reveals that, despite a few customary setbacks, things have gone, more or less, as he planned. 'My intention was always to grow the business to a point where, within a five year timescale, Novahomes would hopefully be one of the most recognised estate agency brands in the area. I think most people would agree that this goal has now been achieved proving, without doubt, that a high street shop is no longer a necessity when selling and letting properties successfully. I would like to take this opportunity to offer my thanks to all of the specialist area agents and staff, both past and present, who bought into the concept and have contributed, in such a short space of time, to firmly establishing our position as one of the region's leading independent agents.'

Of course, many people would suggest that the disruption of moving could have had a detrimental effect on business. However, Jim begs to differ: 'Despite everything that has happened recently, I am pleased to say that our agents are continuing to sell and rent more property, in more areas, than ever. But most of all, I'm delighted to confirm that, despite larger premises and additional staff members, our selling fees will continue to remain the same as they were when I started!'
