Jane Desforges of novahomes provided us with a professional, honest and friendly service. Initially Jane valued our house, she gave us a price list for similar properties, which she had researched to give us an informed estimate of the valuation. She also gave us a list of top ten tips for presenting your home to sell which we found useful.

Jane marketed our property really well, she used a lot of photographs in both the website advert, and in our particulars.

We were very pleased about this, as we had found when looking at properties for sale ourselves, that the more pictures there were in the advert, the more interested we became in the property.

Jane called prospective buyers for us and emailed people who were interested in similar properties to ours, as soon as our property was on the market. We had a few particular streets in mind of where we hoped to purchase, Jane sent letters out to each entire street. She got responses from people considering selling, which we would otherwise have been unaware of.

Jane was happy to acompany viewings, not only when we were out, but while we were at home as well. This was really helpful as we have children - it's not always easy to show people around when taking care of the children at the same time.

We would highly recommend novahomes to anyone who has had problems with estate agencies in the past, as Jane is honest and always confirms any procedures with us before going ahead.

She kept us properly informed with any updates, and we were never left wondering about anything. Jane is efficient in her dealings and swift with her responses. We have already recommended novahomes to friends and family, who have agreed that the service provided is of an extremely high standard and is less expensive.

Selling our home with novahomes has been a pleasant experience, which was far less stressful than we had anticipated selling our home would be. This is due to our agents experience, particularly her excellent communication skills and customer care, and for such a reasonable price. A really professional service.

"We could have saved over £800 if we had sold with novahomes" - Last year we sold our house with a local high street estate agent and then found the property we eventually bought through novahomes. At the time we were looking to sell, novahomes did not operate in our area, and so we missed out! We had sold our own property and were looking for somewhere to live using Rightmove.co.uk as our primary search tool. We regularly logged onto Rightmove and searched for property in our preferred locations and within our price range. We then saved our search criteria under a personal log-in and all new properties that came on to the market were automatically e-mailed to us.

We feel that the service and assistance we received from novahomes was excellent. We were informed of progress continually and we received more updates and assistance from Gary than from our own estate agent. If we wanted any advice during the process, we called Gary as he seemed to know more about the whole chain than anyone else. We certainly paid a lot more money to our agent than we would have if we had used novahomes, yet we received a lot more assistance from Gary.

Since we have completed our purchase through novahomes, we have recommended Gary to four friends selling their homes, one of which Gary arranged ten viewings for, and sold within a week! Three of the four properties have already been sold and I will continue to recommend Gary to anyone else selling in the future. The fee that novahomes charge is affordable at just 0.85% and properties are marketed in a similar way to any other estate agent. We think that for the service novahomes provide, they should charge a higher fee than anyone else, let alone be cheaper!”

I had my property on the market for a period of three months with another ‘more traditional’ local estate agency and found that the service was less than satisfactory – and the offers non-existent! The service we received was excellent and more to the point was significantly cheaper than any other agent in the area. Gary carried out the valuation on a Sunday at a time that suited us, and had the property marketed on Rightmove within 24hours. Within three weeks we had five viewings booked and achieved a sale very close to our asking price. Throughout the sale Gary liaised with the solicitors several times a week towards exchange of contracts and updated me regularly.
